Android phone missing from drive combobox

Hi,

Until the latest 10.52 update, my Android phone always showed up in the drive combobox when I connected it. Now it doesn't, even though it shows up in Windows normally. In TC it does show up in the drive overview list and when clicked it gets accessed through "\\(phone name)".

Is it possible to re-add the phone to the drive combo box as well?

TC(x64) v10.52
Win10 build 19045.2251

Thanks,

D.

In the "drive combobox" chose "+ Computer" to see all drives (and attached devices)

Not confirmed in Windows 10 21H2, build 19044. I will install 22H2 and test again.

Like I said, when I choose "+ Computer (drive overview)", the phone is there. But not in the combo box, like it used to be.

Thanks.

I have updated Windows 10 to the latest version 22H2 now, and after that installed the latest cumulative update KB5020030 offered by Windows Update. My phone shows up in both versions, as well as in Windows 11. It shows up in the drive dropdown list and in the drive button bar. Something must be wrong on your system.
Like I said, when I choose "+ Computer (drive overview)", the phone is there.
When you open it from there, can you see the files on the phone?

Yes, everything works normally when I open the phone contents that way. It works also as bookmark - which is what I'm currently doing.

Funny, I seem to remember that bookmarking specific phone directories didn't work before and that was the reason why I used to access the phone root directory through the combobox... maybe I'm wrong about this though.

In any case, bookmarks are fine for my needs. I just thought of mentioning it in case it could be helpful to somebody else. I'll look into it more when I get the chance. If something changes, I'll let you know.

Thanks,
D.
