7Zip's GUI is yet another Norton Commander clone - just like Total Commander.

It just doesn't have all of the same hotkeys - which slows me down heaps :)

Which hotkeys do you miss? All the main hotkeys from NC/TC are implemented in the 7zip's file manager I guess. It's short of many many other functions TC contains, but if working with 7zip archives is 80% of your work, this definitely should be much more better option for you.

The main one I miss is Ctrl + F5 to add to a new archive. It's burned into my muscle memory

It's much slower in 7zip, as I have to select the file, Add to new archive, then move the new archive over to the directory in the other pane.

Ctrl + F5 does that in a single step.
