[TC 11.00b1] Behaviour of OPENBARMENU

Post by *Dennis_Stevens »

No matter how I trigger the command OPENBARMENU (Starter-menu, button in horizontal bar, button in vertical bar), the menu always appears below the first menu in the upper left corner of TC-Window.

This behaviour makes it a bit hard to understand the meaning of this command.

This has been discussed before: OPENBARMENU was added for usage in other locations than the button bar, e.g. for hotkeys. Just use OPENBAR in the button bar and check the checkbox to show the bar as a menu.

In beta 2, OPENBARMENU will also work correctly in the button bar.

It should work fine now in beta 2 when the bar file is specified in the "command" field.

But not in the case when a space is accidentally added after the file name (for example, after Ctrl+Shift+Enter). The menu appears below the first menu in the upper left corner of TC-Window.

Patient says, it hurts when I press.
Doctor says, then don't press .
Solution for the problen don't enter a space after the file name

TC 11.00b3:
The doctor says, take the pill.
Now the behavior is identical - that with a space, that without a space after the file name.
