Currently they both only work on Windows XP and newer, due to the used compiler Visual Studio 2017. I tried compiling with older versions, but it didn't work. Also a processor with SSE support is needed for unpacking, and with SSE2 for creating archives with libdeflate.

So should I better delete them on my Win98 for better work?

No need to do that, they will just not be loaded. But you can delete them to save space.
