Confirmed.
But manually written

Code: Select all

[I] ( = [I1] ) and [I0]
- works fine!

It's not in +- yet for two reasons:
1. I would like to get some feedback about the implementation first: Maybe I should remove [I1] and [I0] and just use [I]? If it is used twice, it could turn the feature back off, e.g. [I][N][I][E] would do the same as what [I1][N][I0][E] does now?
2. I need some suggestions how to name this feature in the menu so it doesn't get excessively long. Any suggestions?

@2

[I]       like [N] but ignore dots in folder names
[I]       folder names, ignoring any dots

1. For me, just [I] is enough.
2. Ignore dots in folder names

I wote for just [I]

[I] Ignore dots in folder names after this position, insert again to cancel

I agree.
Without switching after the second [|].

2. For folders, template [E] is ignored after this position, [N] uses full name.

ghisler(Author) wrote: 2023-06-01, 08:41 UTC Maybe I should remove [I1]
It repeats [I], so it's definitely not needed.

I give 3 versions for [I]:
[I] Folders only: move extension to name, [E] is not used
[I] The base folder name includes the extension, [E] is not used
[I] The subsequent folder name includes the extension, making [E] empty

And one for [I0]:
[I0] Disables the action previously specified by [I]

I am against deleting [I0]. Example of a useful move: [I][N]_old\[I0][N]_old

Then let be all three [|], [I1] and [I0]. In the menu only [|], the rest in the help.
Moreover, there is already [c1] or [c].

[I1] is a repeat, it doesn't make sense. The curious thing is that [I2], [I3], etc. return path characters from the beginning.

If only 2 template, then [I1] and [I0] (or [a1] and [a0]).

Yes, [I2-] is identical [2-].

[I][N]_old\[I0][N]_old
can be written like this when I remove I0:
[I][N]_old\[I][N]_old

Your suggestions are almost there, we need some more brainstorming. For example:
[I] Folders only: The name [N] includes the extension, [E] is not used

This way both [N] and [E] are present.
Any improvements?

Added BBCode to prevent interpretation of [I]

can be written like this when I remove I0:
[I][N]_old\[I][N]_old
That is, for every odd [I] there will be an enabling and for every even one there will be a disabling?

If there is a switch, it is better to note this too:
[I] Folders only (on/off): The name [N] includes the extension, [E] is not used
[I] Folders only (switch): The name [N] includes the extension, [E] is not used

I like "on/off" more, it makes it more clear that it can also be turned off.

Good. Can you answer the question about alternation?

[|] (On/off) Folders only: [N] - name with extension, [E] is not used

See: [A] Name with extension
