Call the context menu by right-clicking on the image after F3 Lister (irfanview):
Move the cursor away from the context menu -> The title bar displays the path and name of the image again!
Unfortunately only because the context menu is frozen.

Unfortunately the context menu does NOT work for me in TC 11.00b7 x64 - it is displayed but is frozen.
But it works in TC 11.00b7 x86 and TC 11.00b6 x64 .

Don't you have to do Select all, before rightclicking?
I can't confirm using irfanview 64-bit. Do you use 32-bit?

Another issue:
When I use text view or hex view, select some text and rightclick with the mouse, I need to press Esc twice to close the context menu. Only for 64-bit TC.

No and no.

I press F3 Lister and the image opens in Lister (irfanview).
Now I right click in the image and the context menu for IrfanView(!) appears.
The menu items from the context menu for IrfanView are not selectable ("frozen") in TC 11.00b7 x64.
%COMMANDER_PATH% <=> C:\totalcmd\ (portable).

Mmh, with which plugin?
For me, the F3 Lister window opens for .txt and shows me the preview with Lister <Explorer>.
A right click with the mouse does not bring me a context menu in this case.

Ahh, you mean right click on a text file and then "View (Lister)".
Pressing the ESC key once closes the Lister window for me, regardless of whether a text has been selected or not.
I am not quite clear about this point yet.

I can confirm that in x86 TC the irfanview context menu entries work, using the 1.8.4 IrfanView Plugin.
With the x64 TC the context menu is displayed but clicking on entries have no reaction.

In TC 11.00b7 64 bit if I after having selected some text open the context menu (right-click, Shift+F10 or context menu button), then I have to click twice on an item before its is carried out. If I use the keyboard to go to the item and press Enter (or click on it), the command is executed immediately. No such problem in 32bit TC 11.00b7

Confirmed. That's the same problem as I tried to describe. But I tried pressing Esc to close the context menu instead of choosing an option in the context menu.

Sorry, I didn't get that "Lister (irfanview)" meant Lister using the irfanview plugin. Instead I configured Lister to use IrfanView for images other than BMP. My mistake.

I'm not using the irfanview plugin myself. The fix from history is for TEXT mode.

Did you get this problem with the irfanview plugin also in beta 6 and earlier?

This problem comes with b7
With b6 the context menu in the IrfanView plugin works for the x86 and the x64 TC.

I need more information to reproduce this problem:
After installing the Irfanview plugin 1.8.4 and copying the irfanview directory to the IrfanView64 subfolder, I can view files with the plugin with F3.
However, when I right click on an image, it only shows a hand cursor. This is the same in beta 6 and 7.
Is there anything I need to configure to actually get the Irfanview context menu?

Options > Properties/Settings... P > Viewing > ☑ Use right mouse button for context menu (default: scrolling)

This results in:
