MENUITEM "&Fonts", 2124 doesn't work for me

Post by *sergiokapone »

I've stopped having the display of fonts in a folder work if I run the menu. Could it be that command number 2124 is broken?

Code: Select all

MENUITEM "&Fonts", 2124

Works fine here too on Windows 7, Windows 10 and 11. Which Windows version?

Let me make it clear, if you just go to the folder c:\windows\fonts\ then all files are visible, but it is of little use, copying fonts to this folder, they will not be installed in the system. Fonts are not visible if you go through the menu by command, or if you type shell:Fonts

That would open Explorer, are they not visible in Explorer?

But not when you type "cd shell:Fonts" in TC? That is what you meant to say?

Fonts are not visible if you go through the menu at command 2124, or if you type shell:Fonts, or cm_OpenFonts

You keep forgetting "cd", which makes it confusing.

I don't write this on purpose, it's what I see when one of the above commands is triggered.

I also posted on a Russian-language forum. Some people have it and some don't. It is difficult to catch the bug.

10.52 TC
command shell:Fonts DOES work - and shows appropriate Fonts.
11.00 TC
the same command does NOT work.

Also we have a diff in visual representation of this "opened-like" virtual folder.
10.52 shows at the "Current Directory" field text: "\\Fonts\*.*"
EVEN if we used cmd from above!
11.00 shows here another text: "\\Локальный диск (C:)\Windows\Fonts\*.*".
What is also strange - this text is not a fixed one. IF disk has its own name we will see string
like that: "\\Disk_name (C:)\Windows\Fonts\*.*". IF no - like in my case - we will see the text above.
Which means that instead of the disk name it's type was taken and substituted as a first element
of this string. Strange decision, imho....
