[11.02rc2] Space on a directory fails to calculate size

Post by *yyang »

After a direct upgrade from 11.02rc1, pressing Space on a directory always shows a question mark as if the size calculation is going on forever. This happens to both 32-bit and 64-bit. Alt+Shift+Enter is OK.

Confirmed.

Manually counting dirsizes with Shift+Alt+Enter still works both with and without 'Everything' enabled, and so does automatic counting of dirsizes.

Confirmed
But it's working on folders in packed files.

Total Commander 11.02 RC2 || Spacebar not working properly

Post by *robbe58 »

Total Commander 11.02 RC2
Pressing the spacebar on a selected folder (Left+Right Panel) gives ? in Size column

Found in HELP
Calculate space occupied by subdirectories
When selecting with the space bar
This option causes Total Commander to sum up the sizes of all files contained in a subdirectory when this directory is selected with SPACEBAR.
This size is then shown (in mode "full") instead of <DIR> after the directory name.

[11.02rc2] Failed to calculate dir size by pressing SPACE

Post by *wc1996 »

In 11.02rc2, the size column shows a red "?" after pressing SPACE to calculate the size, but the size is never shown, the red question mark is there forever.

It worked in 11.02rc1.

How can you solve this TC problem with Diskinternals?
The simple solution is to use the Everything option for getting the sizes
as this isn't affected by the bug.
