Button Bar icons not opening Windows 11

In windows 10 my button bar was full of icons and folders and opened without any issues. In Windows 11, I have a notepad file on an external drive and I place it in the bar, when I click on it, it flashes but doesn't open. I checked the link location and opened in explorer and works fine. If I link to the folder, that opens, if I link to the text file, that doesn't open.

Any suggestions.

What does the path show when you edit the button (right click, edit). Perhaps there is an error in the path or you don't have access to it.
Also check the association for that file (Files menu, 'associate with' and Files, 'Internal associations (TC only)')
