Installed Apps list

I use the Installed Apps list, sorted by date, to see if any apps have been smuggled into my phone which I did not install. This is an important security measure for me.

Due to Google you stopped using "QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES" so now not all apps are listed. I now must use Ghost Commander. I would like to only use Total Commander as I have been doing for over 10 years.

Could you use "QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES" in the forum version? Thank you.

Google discourages the usage of the "QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES" permission unless it is absolutely necessary, and they need to approve it manually. Therefore I prefer not to request it at this time, sorry.

Christian,
they need to approve it manually
Even in the F-Droid version?

The Playstore version of Ghost Commander uses QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES, I just did a fresh install to be sure.

Non Pllaystore versions can do what they want, like Netguard or Newpipe. I only asked for the forum release to use QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES.

Should “Ghost Commander” also be kicked out of the Playstore - like TC - with a deadline set? And "Netguard"? And "Netpipe"? ...

I can understand that ghisler(author) doesn't want to provoke anything.

Once again, I am not asking for anything done with the Playstore version. Just our forum version.
Netguard has a Playstore version an a Github version. The Playstore simply version does not have the features that Google does not want.

Ah, I see - yes, I can support QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES just in the unrestricted version.
