Re: Enable changing folder icon via Internal Associations
I think this would be huge.
I am not aware a way to change folder icon automatically based on rule(s).
Windows and other utilities can change folder icon but only particular folder.

Re: Enable changing folder icon via Internal Associations
We would need some other mechanism for that because internal associations are mainly meant to open files in various ways.

FYI, XYplorer has it implemented, it is quite complex though I haven't found option for encrypted folders.

Maybe you should add a Change Icon dialog bypassing the properties window?

Overquoting is evil! 👎
Re: Enable changing folder icon via Internal Associations
Maybe solution for encrypted folders is simplier than one would think: what about implementing something similar like Display -> Icons -> Show '!' on hidden/system
It'd be sufficient if Windows was able to show overlay icons for small icons. I can change the overlay icon for encrypted folders but it is not visible if icons are small (i.e. Full view mode in TC). Visible = overlay is not added at all.
