[TC 10.0 - 11.03] DirTabRevert=0 does not prevent selected files from being deselected when returning to locked tab

Post by *petermad »

If DirTabRevert=0 the content of a tab is not changed to base folder when going back to a tab that is "Locked, but directory changes allowed".

Still - if I have gone to another folder in such a tab and made some files selections, leaving that tab and going back to it erases the file selections - it should not be like that, since the folder is the same when leaving the tab and when opening it again when DirTabRevert=0.

I'm not quite sure that I'll describe the behavior which is completely related to the current bug below. But there are nuances, imho...

If you leave such a tab ('locked & changed base dir') for a long time (more than an hour, for sure), then when you go to it
Instead of simply showing the contents of the directory in which you have gone in, a forced jump to the base directory
in this tab will be performed.

Example:
In some tab opened and locked: `C:\Temp`
After that go to `C:\Temp\details` in this tab
if you go to other tabs now and then come back, you will see again `C:\Temp\details`
And that's right! But if we spend some significant time in another tab, & after that going back, we will see:
1) some kind of apparent delay - as if there is some very long "recalculation" of some internal data -
2) and only then we get into the ....... `C:\Temp`!!!!!!!
that there is the wrong behavior. We had to get back to `C:\Temp\details`!

Tried this - but could not see the jump to the base dir and back, but maybe my test dir was too small to notice it.
