In light mode, the background color of the context menu and the background color of the tab area are different from DarkBackground, they are darker.
In dark mode, there is no parameter to set

Why do you think the context menu would use the program background color? It doesn't do that anywhere.

Btw, I let Windows draw the context menu, so it uses the Windows 10 dark mode background color. I would have to make all context menus owner drawn to have a custom background color.

Even in light mode in your screenshot the context menu has color RGB 242,242,242 and the program background has RGB 240,240,240 (darker), so there they are not the same either.

This is not a bug but a missing feature. You can just set TC's background to the color Windows uses for context menus in Dark mode (43,43,43) - like here: https://tcmd.madsenworld.dk/darkmodebackground.png
