Android TCM & Google Drive

Hello guys,

I am using TCM 15 years and first time I found insuperable obstacle.
This time it is about the Android version.

I have it installed together with the plugin "Plugin: Drive for Totalcmd". I have configured my private credentials by JSON and everything looks great but the "move" button disappeared.

I want to select photos from Android gallery and move them to selected Drive folder (I dont want to copy them). I have tried to click everything, any button and option but the only available option is to copy not to move. However if I try to move files between local directories then the move button is available again. I have also checked all the settings of TCM and plugin but I couldn't find any solution.

Could you please help me? How I can move files to my drive (not copy)? Is there any necessary hack or trick?

Hmm, here the plugins behave differently about moving files:

Google Drive plugin: can not move in either direction.
OneDrive plugin: can move from OneDrive to the phone.
Dropbox (Totaldrip) plugin: can move in both directions.
FTP plugin: can move from the FTP server to the phone.
LAN plugin: can move in both directions.

There is no move button but the Copy button offers the move option if available.

I don't know what the reasoning is behind not allowing move in all cases - maybe for safety reasons...?

Yes, probably the same ones as for TC on Windows. Some protocols can't reliably return success, so TC leaves it up to the user to tell if a transfer was successful, and delete the source files afterwards.

I just checked android competitor "Cx File Explorer" and there is a working "move" option for Google Drive.
Is there any hack / trick to do it with Total Commander?

This is not a solution because after coping all files they are deselected again ;)

Press / on the numeric keypad to restore the selection?

I don't have a numeric keypad on my phone. ;-)

Move is disabled in all plugins where it is too risky. While other file managers may have it enabled, they simply ignore the risk.

I guess Ghisler's answer means no. It's not very clearly worded though.

I was hope there is a way to change it in special config file or another trick ;)
