[HELP] Order of renaming functionalities

If I use both file masks and search/replace functionalities to do the renaming job, what order will TC follow?

1) first file mask, then search/replace?
2) first search/replace, then file mask?
3) recursively?

From what I've seen File Mask, then Search/Replace, but an improper Search/Replace string can cause recursion, and at times needs a very complex regex to get a simple thing done - to prevent wiping the new name.
Course don't be stubborn and just do the renames in multiple passes ...
I'm sure some of us spend more time getting the regex "just right" - than it would of taken to rename the files by hand *grin*

Furthermore the answer is in the help file, all you have to do is press F1 in the Multirename-Tool and read.

This is really the best thing to ask if you wanna upset all users willing to help you. If you don't trust the users don't ask in the forum please but write to the author's support address.

I am not with some bad intentions, just to clarify my confusions.

Examining the help file, it is said that

This function is applied AFTER the rename mask!

But sometimes TC sometimes is too smart to be recursive when we use mask and search/replace.

Indeed the rename options are applied from left to right, top to bottom.
1. Rename mask
2. Search+replace
3. Upper-/Lowercase

This can be controlled somehow because there are also rename masks for upper/lowercase, so you can apply them before Search+Replace. But you can't apply Search+Replace before the rename mask, except by multi-renaming in multiple steps via the "Reload" button.
