FTP slow on list, transfer freezes

1st of all: Congrats for such a nice software - I use it for ages and there was no problem at all till these days. I moved from one system/version to another with his ftp/ini files so my ftp list is quite big and i really depend on it now.

The connection is made normally (as speed) but it takes minutes to list the folders. The transfer, if starts and is a very small file, maybe takes place, the transfer remains at 100% and nothing happens further. I used it with or without passive mode enabled. Same thing happens.

OS: Windows XP SP2. I made a check with Cute FTP and it seems that works ok. But I really need Total Commander to work (as I use it as my workspace too).
Used 5.51 and 6.53.

Any hint would be useful.

Thanks if anyone looked into this.
After a day of different checks, I solved.
Uninstalled PGPDesktop903_Win32 and everything got back to normal. I don't see the connection between them, but it seems that messed up everything.
