Options / Thumbnails / Get from Irfan-/Xnview for: *
Do the following:
View a jpg in XnView, leave it in the background, switch back to TC
Restart TC
Switch to thumbnail mode, the thumbnails are not shown
TC consumes 100% processortime
TC periodically vanishes behind the XnView
there are 2 instances of XnView in the process list
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!

Well, so much for this one...
This would have been too easy to be true anyway

Now it would be interesting to know the difference in the configs. Could be an XnView problem as well.

Maybe a settings problem? I once had such a similar problem when setting the viewer (don't remember if iview or xnview) to maximized.

Right, it occurs only if XnView is maximized!

Well, I use the standard version of XNView without installer (XnView-win.zip, ~4 MB). did you try already check if the issue still occurs with a blanked xnview.ini?
I also could send you my ini if you'd like to diff it with yours.
EDIT
Ah I was too slow once again. OK, I'll check that.

Hm, I still can't reproduce that even with XNView maximized or in Fullscreen mode. *me scratch head*

XnView has to start maximized!
General / Startup / Maximize XnView at Startup

OK, can someone with this error report this to the Xnview author, please? He shouldn't maximize xnview when it is started with the hidden parameter...
