WCMD_ENG.LNG
WCMD_DEU.LNG
WCMD_RUS.LNG

Do you mean this is not right?

I have also tried to rename WCMD_RUS.LNG into WCMD_RUS_RUS.LNG and change language in TC. Without success.

I can't produce such archive again, but I can make something similar, which causes problems too.

Code: Select all

sqc a -rp c:\c:\ tomake.sqx existing.sqx
Result: Disk read error when trying to access the existing sqx inside tomake.sqx.

I'm pretty sure that I created the first archive without such hacks though...

I created it with SQC while writing a backup script - and this was one of wrong sets of switches.
I'll try to do it again later.
OK thank you. Just post if the problem reappears.

If I use the plugin's function to change the location of the ini file (Path -> Settings location -> New location) and press the "Move" button, then the ini file is being copied to the new location all right, BUT the plugin also creates a NEW ini file in the old location. This leads to at least to errors
I have to confirm this observation.
the above error message has an \n that is not handled correctly
Confirmed.
but it is in fact moved to TotalSQX (without the space)
Confirmed.
In beta 3 it is no longer possible to move the ini-file by using the User interface - the "Move" button seems to be permanently disabled.
Confirmed.
The string: 'Directory "Total SQX" below Wincmd.ini directory' is still not changed to: 'Directory "TotalSQX" below Wincmd.ini directory' neither internally nor in the .lng files.
I won't change the string but change to the target directory name instead.
Minor GUI bug in French
First sorry for not inclusig the French language file in beta 3. It will be included in beta 4.
Minor GUI bug in French on the default configuration page (about the dictionary size), like shown with THIS IMAGE…
Confirmed.

2Postkutscher
There is also a problem by changing language
I cannot confirm this.

2petermad
Your current TC language file must have the right format of the name
No that's not necessary. You don't have to change TC's language file name.

BTW: There is currently no Russian language file for Total SQX 2. It would be great of someone could send me an updated Russian language file.

WCMD_ENG.LNG

WCMD_RUS.LNG

Do you mean this is not right?
Yes, that should be right!

Isn't it? - If I use a Danish language file with the name wcmd_nc3.lng then TotalSQX displays English, but it I rename it to wcmd_nc3_dan.lng then TotalSQX displays Danish.
You don't have to change TC's language file name.
I didn't really say that - I said, that if the name is not following the convention it will fail - in case Postkutscher was using a custom language file with a name like wcmd_lollypop.lng - but if he is using a file with a standard name like wcmd_deu.lng it should work (apparently it doesn't for him though, it seems).

Isn't it?
I already explained how it works a year ago:

may I make my other postings to this thema in germany thread?
Yes of course. That's why there is also a German thread.

I already explained how it works a year ago:
I know you did - but apparently Total SQX don't read the first line in the language file anymore.

In the example above ( http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=156340#156340 ) the first line of the file wcmd_nc3_dan.lng reads: Dansk, but Total SQX nevertheless displays English.

Don't take my word for it - try it yourself. Copy wcmd_dan.lng to for example wcmd_dan1.lng and choose that file as the language file, then Total SQX displays English in its configuration dialog.

EDIT: I found out that the reason for described behaviour was, that I had a TotalSQX_DAN.sqx file in Total SQX's Language directory, and that file was physically placed before the TotalSQX_DAN.lng file (FAT partition) - it seems that Total SQX in that case tries to read the TotalSQX_DAN.sqx file in stead of the TotalSQX_DAN.lng file - hence cannot find the Language= setting - what a tricky bug!

So 2Postkutscher: make sure there is only .lng files in the Total SQX language folder - mabe that will solve your problem.

Was your TotalSQX_FRA.sqx file placed before your TotalSQX_FRA.lng file ? Only possible to do on a FAT drive - use unsorted view in TC to check.

Otherwise if you are using a NFTS partition try to make a TotalSQX_FRA.arj file in the same dir as TotalSQX_FRA.lng that might provoke the bug since the arj file will be place before the lng file.

Obstinately in French !

Post by *Clo »

2petermad

:) Hello Peter !

• I made a <TotalSQX_FRA.arj> in the same location - I've a NTFS partition - and that doesn't change anything,
the plug-in is still in French as it should…

Do you use your wcmd_fra.lng file for TC? you have to make a copy called for example wcmd_fra2.lng and use that.

Custom MNU-LNG

Post by *Clo »

2petermad

:) I use :
wcmd_clo_fra.lng
Wcmd_clo_fra.mnu
which are customized files (for some reasons you could guess easily :D )

Same as Clo after I performed the same tests…
I use also customized MNU-LNG French files…

What you describe is quite a extraordinary scenario - however - I can confirm your observations. Such extra files may confuse the current detection algorithm.
I will try to find a solution.
