Here F4Menu doesn't fully work. It does not work when pressing Shift+F4 to create a new file. The new file is created, but the file is not opened for editing, and if the cursor is over a file, then THAT file is opened instead.

i wrote to shannycn "F4Menu plugin author" reporting the fault and suggesting maybe TC 7.5 PB1 is using some window ID the plugin cannot find.

lets see in couple of days.

Shift+F4 has nothing to do with F4Menu, or did I miss something...

Shift+F4 works as the TC shortcut. (Same behaviour with TC 7.04a and TC 7.50Pß1)

No trace of "Shift" into the readme of F4Menu, only "F4" and "Esc.+F4" !

If I'm wrong please correct me !

is your F4 configured for F4Menu? in configuration | Edit/View : Editor for F4

If you have configured F4Menu.exe as your editor for F4 (Configuration -> Edit/View -> Editor for F4) then TC will call F4Menu.exe also when Shift+F4 is pressed - and altough that worked in TC 7.04a it does not work in TC 7.50.

Ghisler has said in the beta forum that it is up to the author of F4Menu to fix that.

Indeed F4menu seems to somehow read from the list window when Shift+F4 is used. Since I'm now using Unicode controls in many location, this probably fails. But the author should be able to create a Unicode-compatible version.

lets hope the author can find the time and update us, otherwise this brings the subject of either plugins should be open source or one can ask ghisler for such a feature :D

Not working for me also: "Please use TC shortcut key F4 to launch F4Menu..." error when pressing F4 in TC and F4Menu is set as editor for F4 in options.

It's caused by the codepage value in .LNG file.

I use English with extended menu 1 [by petermad] and there is such setting: codepage=1025. My local codepage in winxp is 936, so I changed the setting into 936. then, F4Menu works again!!

TC will use ANSI controls in many places if the codepage matches your current system code page.
