2majkinetor !
I have problems with displaying symbols in local codepage if they are in id3v2 tag (I've tried all the codepages which can be found in MP3Tag - nothing works properly).
Actually, Id3V1 tags are MUCH faster for editing and reading and saving etc.
And AFAIK Tag&Rename is shareware...
BTW, Heikki Ylinen has just released Apollo37zx, which fixes improper tag displaying in mentioned situation. You know who requested it

Yes, it is shareware, but it is the best tool around and you can find full download easily. I can send you portable version if you like I created myself.
I tried them all. Nothing can bit T&R when we come to speed of editing. I can totaly organise my mp3 folder in matter of minutes.
Theoreticaly, there are better products like Godfather, wich support scripting but I doubt anybody will ever use that (except in extraordinary situations)
Once I downloaded 4GB of full albums from the guy from SoulSeek, who let me do it if I organise them. I did it in 20 minutes with T&R, end every album was in same format, with minimum 300x300 pictures and every tag present (even those you don't care, like releasing labels etc..). The guy just said: "HOW?"

I use foobar2000 it's freeware and it's (at least for me) the most comprehensive audio player when it comes to tagging and organizing your music collection into folders (this is getting to sound more and more like a TV commercial ... so I'll better stop nowXPEHOPE3KA wrote:2majkinetor !

need I say more?

this is like saying TC is a file manager and may never be used as multirenaming toolfoobar2000 is audio player, not specialised tag editor and it can NEVER be as good as 3th party tool.
check this:Second, foobar is ugly.

Exactly.this is like saying TC is a file manager and may never be used as multirenaming tool
Just minor thought, don't mind: I don't know how you got from can never be as good to the may never be used
So, above exactly is mentioned for the original.
Exactly!...need I say more?
What can I see on that picture. Must admit, better looking then MS Media Player, but far from good looking. What else can I see.... Forsaken x 14 (Quen of the damned fan, like those 2 little girls in the movie, his fans) and... oh your god....is it my music ? Well, you will hardly find it suitable according to the rest of your list... its pure electronics... I listen everythig.. instruments don't matter - piano, guitar, crackling, white noise... everything is the same... just the context matter. I hope you'l enjoy in those 3 full songs there, anyway. I didn't get off computer 72 hours while creating one of those songs...
I wouldn't know. As I alrady said I use T&R for that. And that cool little plugin that display ID3 Tags as a tooltip when I move the mouse over the song (highly scriptable of course, with images and so). And about beauty, don't argue here, just look those 3 I created for you:even WMP has greater organization and tagging capabilities

Although i never tried T&R, being this one an anytag plugin discussion, I must recommend MP3TAG as tag editor. It's free, and incredibly flexible, and you can edit all the tag types you want.

May I post a bug of Mp3Tag here? Unfortunately, I'm having problems with mail, so that's the only place
The thing is that Mp3Tag doesn't handle hard links.
Create a hard link to a mp3 file and delete the tag. The tag will be deleted from both files, but it must have been deleted from only one of them.
