[x64] Gap at Beginning of Filename Rename

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

I can indeed see a difference now between 32-bit and 64-bit when using the Segoe UI 10 font. Maybe Lazarus is adding these extra inner borders. I will check the component library.

Any progress in fixing this one? Still a problem in Beta 5.

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce it here, an I don't know what I need to configure in Windows to get this problem.

But you posted just above that you could see the difference with the Segui font:

Hi.

On
+ Windows 2003 Std SP2 64-bit, classic theme,
+ Total Commander 8.0ß5 64-bit,
+ using Tahoma font only in T.C.
the little gap which makes the filename move a little bit to the right inside the inline rename edit box is no longer visible. It is gone.

On
+ Server 2008 R2 64-bit, classic theme,
+ Total Commander 8.0ß5 64-bit,
+ using Segoe UI for file list and main window, Tahoma for dialog boxes in T.C.
the little gap which makes the filename move a little bit to the right inside the inline rename edit box is still visible.
Same as in the previous beta versions.

Cheers,
Karl

Sorry, I wanted to write that I couldn't find the location in Lazarus which causes this problem. I can still reproduce it with Segoe UI.
