split directory to CDs or DVDs

I'm looking for a program or TC plugin to split the contents of a directory or directories to multiple CDs or DVDs.

I would like to backup my photos and music to DVDs, and manually distributing 120 GB of data by hand is no fun.

You may want to check nnBackup 3.01b18 ( http://www.nncron.ru/download/nnbackup301b18.exe ). This is a small but powerful command-line tool for backing up and synchronizing your files and folders, creating and processing file-lists etc.

And what tool do you use for byte by byte comparing of the burned media with the original files?

The Verify function of the burner program you're using.

I do verify (while burning with Nero), but that failed me few times.

Nero usually gets it right - if it says it's bad, it really is bad.
To avoid creating lots of nice shiny beermats, I never burn at the max speed possible for the media. I find that the slower the burn speed the fewer the problems, even with branded media.

Burn to the Brim seems to be the best bet for me. SizeMe can't deal with subdirectories that are too big for one medium. It always wants to fit whole subdirectories onto one medium, which makes it inefficient.

BTTB also allows you to drag and drop your compilation into Nero etc, like SizeMe does.
