As I know, currently there is only one command executed normally with a cursor being on the [..] line: pressing Shift+F6 (inplace renaming) executes the cm_EditPath command. I suggest to add some other commands/shortcuts executed when cursor is on the [..] line. As usual, these commands should be executed only if there is no selection.
1. Ctrl+Z opens the usual "File comment" window, where the comment is for the current directory as a whole. Similar behaviour is realized in Norton Commander with the "dirinfo" file displayed in quick view window.
So, this comment is stored in the usual descript.ion file of the current directory, starts with ".." characters and is shown when the cursor is pointed over the [..] line. Current method to achieve this is to exit the directory, press Ctrl+Z, write a comment, and then reenter the directory of interest. But (unlike dirinfo) this comment can't be seen from the current directory, what is not handy.
For example, if there is directory c:\some\path and file file.ext there, the descript.ion file should be:
2. Spacebar has the same effect as being pressed on the name of the current directory from the parent one. That is, the total directory size is displayed instead of the the [..] line. Nowadays, so as to learn the total size, one should first exit the directory, press spacebar, and then reenter the directory of interest.descript.ion wrote:.. any comment for the whole c:\some\path directory
file.ext comment for the c:\some\path\file.ext file
3. F5/F6 - the same as a sequence cm_SelectAll and cm_Copy/cm_RenMov (that is, select all and copy/move all to the target panel). For me it's a habitual sequence.
4. Ins - the same as cm_CopySrcPathToClip.
5. Ctrl+C - the cm_SelectAll + cm_CopyFileDetailsToClip sequence.
Many other commands can be proposed.
