BTM copies wrong files when tab closed quickly

Post by *Hacker »

Hi,
Have two tabs open in one panel, one with dir Source and the other with TheOtherDir. Have Source active. Select a file, press F5, F2. Now quickly press Ctrl-W to close the Source tab before the BTM shows up. The BTM then tries to copy a file from TheOtherDir instead of the one you selected in the Source dir.
Expected - copy the file(s) selected in the Source dir before it was closed.
I assume BTM would have to get its list upon closing the F5 dialog instead of upon its window being created / shown.

Confirmed!!

That's quite strange that BTM doesn't receive entire filelist to copy - this list should be formed immediately after confirming copying in F5 dialog on closing it.

Unfortunately I fear that this cannot be prevented. The BTM takes the files from the main program. I will have a look at it, though.

Just for completeness' sake:
Anybody care to mention which T.C. version introduced this bug and which T.C. version does no longer exhibit the reported misbehaviour?
(Could not find these two little details in this thread.)

karlchen,
8.0b1 fixes the bug, 7.56a exhibits it. No idea if it has been there since the introduction of the BTM.
