Here it works like a charm.

Maybe you have an AHK script running that is not properly programmed an catches each second Alt- or F3 keypress? Just a thoughht.

2Sheepdog,
I think no. In the second PC where I have the problem, It is F3 that I use to call the external lister.

I try to avoid all the tools that verify the keypress used when another application is running and have the focus. 8)

Thanks for your answer

What is identical between the two computers where it works and where it doesn't work? Do they both use Windows XP, fully patched? What about background programs like virus scanners?

Your idea is good but I don't know what can be the reason of the problem.
The 3 PCs are under XP sp2 and have not the same virus scanner.
The PC where it works is at my office (I don't and can't manage the updates) It is under XP since more than 2 years.
The installation of this PC was not made by me and I use their a proxy with several applications for work.

The 2 that don't work are from my home. There is applications installed by my children (Windows Live Messenger,...). The old desktop PC is not up to date for corrections.
On my portable from home which is a new PC (2 month), there is not a lot of applications installed. It is up to date for windows update.

For me, I use always the same applications in these PCs : TC, Firefox, PSPad, ... :P

Not easy to conclude something :?

Regards
