[Wish] Directories in the Branch view

Post by *TLis »

The Branch view in TC shows only files. In most cases that's enough, but recently had a need to see and operate on the direct or indirect subfolders of the selected folder. It would be great, if the Branch view could be enhanced to show (optionally!) the subfolders in addition to files.

Workaround: search for * and 'Feed to listbox'.

I do not agree. Branch is mean in this concept "All files from all sub directories".

Please see more here: http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=14298

Search *.* with
Directory attribute Yes [Check] - results are only directories
Directory attribute No [Uncheck] - results are only files
Directory attribute Doesn't mater - both files and directories

Many Thanks to Petermad for that!

Best whises,

Why should it matter, if the items catalogued under a specific directory are files or sub-directories? A branch is just a fragment of a tree, which enumerates not only the leaves, but also sub-branches. In this situation, I cannot accept your point of view about the definition of a "branch". On the other hand, I agree, that there is a workaround involving the Search function. Thanks for the tip!
