[solved] Obsolete Help text

Post by *petermad »

The text in the Help file section Dialog box: Associate:
OK Saves all changes in the files reg.dat and win.ini, or in wincmd.ini for the viewer associations.
is a little obsolete - shouldn't it rather be:
OK Saves all changes in the files ntuser.dat, reg.dat and win.ini, or in wincmd.ini for the file associations.
or something like that

I don't know if Windows Vista stores the file associations even more differently - so maybe something like this of a more general nature
OK Saves all changes in the Windows Registry, or in wincmd.ini for the file associations.
would be better.

It should be
OK Saves all changes in the win.ini, Windows Registry, or in wincmd.ini for the file associations.
as we have a 16bit Version of TC :D

Is it really that important what the name of the current registry file is?

No - That's why I suggest simply referring to it as "the Windows Registry"
