Left/right arrows behaviour

Post by *BartekG »

Maybe it is just me, but it would be really great if left/right arrows behaviour in Full mode would be the same as it is in Brief mode.

Specifically, what I really miss is the ability to quickly move to the top using left arrow key in Full mode (instead command line window is activated). The same thing with right arrow key - I'd like it to quicky jump to the end of a list.

I know others might already got used to the way it works now so I suggest to make a switch somewhere in the configuration.

Happy Customer, :-)

Hi and welcome.

You can enable this behaviour in the config file WINCMD.INI (see 'help' > 'about' where this file is located on your system, or click 'configuration' > 'change INI files directly' to open this file in notepad)

Add the following line In the [configuration] section:

Code: Select all

SpecialCursorMovement=1
This is what help (section 4.b.) says about all possible values:
SpecialCursorMovement=0

New cursor movement mode. Sum of the following:
1: Left key jumps to first file, right key to last
2: Left key goes one directory up, right key opens directory/archive under cursor.
4: Override horizontal scrollbar in custom columns view. If this option isn't set, the cursor will jump only to the first file if the horizontal scrollbar is already at the leftmost position.
8: Jump one page up/down instead of jumping to the first/last file

Great, this is exactly what I need! Thanks a lot for a quick reply. I will also take a look at the help file - I wasn't aware it is so detailed.

Take care,
Bartek

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
