The internal file lister (F3)

We would like to configure Lister to set the tab size. We use tab size of 3 typically, but Lister appears to be hardcoded to 8, making tabbed source files difficult to view in Lister.

In the [Lister] section of your wincmd.ini add this parameter: TabWidth=3

As a matter of fact this setting should be accessible inside the internal lister window under Options => Configure.

Changing the TabWidth is not such an expert action that it should be hidden from the normal users.

I agree with karlchen. My proposal is to remove "Search results: Lines from top of list" (I don't really think anyone uses that option) and put TabWidth there instead.

P.S. Why I was sure that TabWidth is already there

• “Expert's action” or not and remove another option to free up room are not the points, I guess…

- That box is full to bursting, and the good solutions are either to split it into two windows,
or to enlarge it sufficiently, that's all…

• Already suggested IIRC, never considered, as one can see…

Just to illustrate, it could be something LIKE THIS, only to improve these GUI options at the same location…

It is also nice but I would rather see a tab instead of Multimedia popup.

Also one thing is missing in our mockups: wider Path edit box.

And Lefteous was right: we should drop "minus" signs from fonts.

• It's of course a raw drawing, not optimized in the details.

- There is room to enlarge the path field…

- The strange negative font sizes values are those used in Delphi scripts
(indeed quite dark for the average user and myself), I requested a change ages ago,
because that isn't meaningful in a setting page. This should need a conversion table !
