If I press Ctrl-S to call the quick search, enter something, mark the entered text and press any other character key (to change my search from f.e. "TOT" to "NO"), the text in the quick search will not be overwritten and no new search / filtering was done.
I have to press the del or backspace key first, before I can enter a new search statement.
best regards
Thomas

Could confirm the bug.
I wrote a suggestion related to this. (You normally want to make a new search accessing the quick search filter a second time. So overwrite old text by default.)

This isn't currently supported, sorry. Since you cannot select the quick search text with the keyboard, you cannot overwrite it like this either.
I will therefore move this to "will not be changed", but put your report in my wish list as a possible future feature.
