If you select a directory it does not stay gray like it use to. I am not sure how to upload the picture or I would.

it does not stay gray

Do you mean the "Only selected" option at "Synchronize Directories" dialog ?

This option is gray (disabled) if no directory is selected when starting "Synchronize Directories"

Option is black (enabled) if at least one directory/file is selected when starting "Synchronize Directories".
You can do a Compare with this option enabled, or even disable it afterwards if you want to compare all directories despite of your prior selection.

I could reproduce the problem now: when the "button face" gray is quite dark, TC will show selected folders in white instead of light gray. I will correct that in beta 4.
