Remember selected files

Post by *Morgothzz »

Is it possible that selected files and dir's will be rememberd even if you go in en out a dir?

If not, please add it to the wishlist. In some cases i cant use the other pane for a quick peek, and if you selected a honderd files it's a pane in the ass. :wink:

There are several ways to achive this. Some of them are new in Total Commander 6.0. Try the following internal commands:

cm_RestoreSelection=529;Selection before last operation
cm_SaveSelection=530;Temporarily save selection
cm_SaveSelectionToFile=2031;Save file selection to file
cm_LoadSelectionFromFile=2032;Read file selection from file
cm_LoadSelectionFromClip=2033;Read file selection from clipboard

Except the last one this commands can be found in the "Mark" menu.

You can also open a new tab for the quick peek... 8) (The selection will remain in the current tab.)
Using Windows without Total Commander is like driving a car without a steering wheel!

Thanks for your reaction but cm_RestoreSelection does'nt do the job (it did'nt work at all).
The option tab works but i'am a mouse man , i like to click and drag with highspeed.

Thats why i want TC to remember de selected dir's and files even when i go in en out a dir.

Be sure it works. If you have anything to restore.

One more time, very slowly and political correctly: save the selection first with cm_SaveSelection or cm_SaveSelectionToFile to have something to restore from.[/face]
