Post by *petermad »

If I set a custom filter (Ctrl+F12) in a virtual folder like \\Desktop it has no effect.

I have checked that - it was intentional because custom filters can also use plugins, and plugins do not work in virtual folders. Terefore custom filters are currently disabled in virtual folders. Since I have added it to ftp too, I will consider to also add it to virtual folders - but I cannot promise it for TC 7.5 yet.

Thanks for confirming! pertermad has confirmed it in the private beta forum too, so I'm moving it to fixed bugs now.

Since I started this report, I'd better confirm the fix in TC 7.50 final once again :-)

I have one little question. Since TC shows in virtual folders files from different locations, it knows full path for all objects. So why not to call content plugins with this paths? This will allow to get right info about each object.
Please tell me where I'm wrong :)

So why not to call content plugins with this paths?
It would be even better if TC would call a new content plugin function which gives the IShellFolder object and a relative item id list object so the plugin could even handle items which don't have a real path.
