a windows version of rsync

Post by *dpi »

a windows version is available here.

http://backuppc.sourceforge.net/

Try rsync to synchronize a local and a remote directory is fast and easy.
but the command line style is may be not enough friendly for a lot of user.

So, a plugin for rsync like the ftp connection is, I think, a very good idea.

Total commander et rsync, a winning software.

That would be awesome because rsync is really fast and can handle hard links well. A plugin that also includes the functionality of rsync based DeltaCopy (http://www.aboutmyip.com/AboutMyXApp/DeltaCopyV14.jsp) would be fantastic.

rsync please!!!

I use it sync my local harddisk with remote Unix host. It is a lot faster than Samba in most cases.

But the command line version is so so very hard. I misspecify the filename all the time. With or without a trailing / can make a big difference.

Any hero to create a plugin?
