Problem with Canon Digital plugin

Post by *Sandpaper »

I have installed this plugin Ver 1.7 an run TC 6.51. have a canon Powershot S45

Installed as instruction but when try to open plugin get "No Camera" message even though it is connected.

I have downloaded SDKlibs.rar but am unsure whether it needs to have its files copies over.............

Any suggestions

TIA

Unless you have Windows XP, you need to install the camera drivers aswell.

When camera drivers are installed, and SDKlibs are in a subdir of the plugin, the camera is connected to the computer and in replay mode and turned on, you should be able to access the camera using the plugin.

After little seach in the forum, here an "up" on this thread (rather opening a new one...)

With my latest Win7 install, I've reinstall the Canon plugin (the one that worked fine with my previous WinXP install from http://www.ghisler.com/fplugins.htm), but got now following TC crash/exception when trying to acces to the camera :

Two possible reasons and fixes:
1. Plugin may be installed in read-only directory, e.g. somewhere under c:\program files -> re-install plugin in a directory where you have write rights
2. Plugin may require admin rights - Start TC via right click - As administrator

Thx for the answer....
I have full admin rights on my system (even in c:\program file (hum...))
Nevertheless, I've reinstall the plugin in another dummy folder, then restarted TC, but got same behavior (idem if start Tc with Admin Rigths too)...

Note that's not really a critical pb, as I still can access tho my camera through the >< Explorer .
