How do I make Office plugin work with Office 2007 under Windows 7? It refuses to work in MS Word with converters from Word 2003

Office plugin cannot process Office 2007 Files because of missing file converter. Use OpenOffice.org/DOCX/FB2 Viewer Plugin instead: http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/OOoHtmlViewer.html

office converter for TС in Windows7

Post by *vitalyki »

Thanks
Downloaded the rar file which immediately offered to intstall the wlx to TC plugins folder. Allowed it and tried to view old .doc files, new .docx files, as lister or QuickView as advised. Nothing works. Tried to get the viewers the author advises, but the Novell one is not offered any more while the other one from SourceForge refuses to install. Alas.

I have installed plugin and it works immediately for DOCX Files. The converter is inlcuded in package and is placed in folder "OdfConverter" in plugin directory. In readme is shown that .Net Framework 2.0 is needed. On my machine .Net Framework was already installed before plugin installation. Maybe this could be your problem?

Old Doc files (97-2003) can't be viewed with this plugin. For these files you need an older plugin (Office.wlx) For details look here: http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=25985
