Lister search navigation improvement

Post by *Samuel »

In PSPad and in MS Visual Studio I love the possibility to navigate by the currently selected text.

I select some text press a shortkey (for me Ctrl up/down) and can navigate (search) to the next and previous occurrence. I would appreciate to have the same in Lister.

I know I can press F5/F3 and Shift+F5/F3, but I cannot search back and forth by using the current selection.

Currently I would have to press F7, Return, F3 to search selected text forward and F7, Return, Shift+F3, Shift+F3 to search it backwards.

I wouldn't mind, if text is selected and then press F3 it searches forward for that instance (Shift+F3) Backwards.

And if you need the regular full dialog, F7 as usual...
*BLINK* TC9 Added WM_COPYDATA and WM_USER queries for scripting.

Or Ctrl+F3 and Ctrl+Shift+F3 as it is default in MS VS. (IIRC)

It would be backward compatible. Perhaps some users are used to searching, selecting and copying some lines and search again.
