Updated Danish translation for v0.25 beta1 can be downloaded at: http://madsenworld.dk/tcmd/f4menu_danish25beta1.zip

There are to new strings:
19=Icon File
94=Icon &File
for wich I don't see any implementation yet. Is it correct that they are not used, or have I overlooked something.

BTW: In string 80 I recommend replacing the continous spaces with \t - it looks better:

This:

Code: Select all

80=Please launch F4Menu as the following usage:\n\nF4Menu.exe [-q | -m] [filelist]\n-q\tQuiet mode, exit directly without any dialog if no filelist.\n-m\t Menu mode, show main menu if no filelist, for create new file\nfilelist Space-separated filenames, the filename which contains space should be\n\tenclosed by quota. And parameters -q, -m are ignored if filelist exist.\n\nOr use Total Commander shortcut key F4 to launch F4Menu.\nYou can set it via TC Configuration -> Options -> Edit/View -> Editor for F4.
In stead of this:

Code: Select all

80=Please launch F4Menu as the following usage:\n\nF4Menu.exe [-q | -m] [filelist]\n -q Quiet mode, exit directly without any dialog if no filelist.\n -m Menu mode, show main menu if no filelist, for create new file\n filelist Space-separated filenames, the filename which contains space should be\n enclosed by quota. And parameters -q, -m are ignored if filelist exist.\n\nOr use Total Commander shortcut key F4 to launch F4Menu.\nYou can set it via TC Configuration -> Options -> Edit/View -> Editor for F4.

MVV wrote:Noticed small bug. When I start F4Menu w/o parameters, it shows message box and then configuration dialog. 'Options' button has focus, in list I see that first item is selected (grayed). However, when I'm trying to use 'Modify' button I see error message 'please select an item'. Maybe you should set index to zero while loading dialog?

Also there is an mistype in Englsh language file - 'Configuratoin'.
Thanks for your help, will be fixed in beta2:)
New detect errors feature is nice but it is hard to determine which editor has given index - in program list there is no index column.
Maybe, but this error msg shows when editor name is null, so I cannot give the editor name in msg, since it seldom happens, just let it be:)
And one interesting thing. Language file has a lot of old 'Icon' strings (also new 'Icon file' strings). Is it true than such feature will be added soon? :)
Bingo, will be implemented in next release.

Thanks again for your Russian translation:)

Yes, will be added in next version...

I've tried \t at first, but on the msgbox, seems the option description string is not aligned, at least on my Chinese OS it is, so I choosed spaces:)
Anyway, you can use \t in your language file as you like.

Great, now first item may be modified immediately after opening F4Menu configuration. :)

Hi again, Shanny, here some suggestions from Russian board:

1. To move 'Settings' and 'About' items from main menu to context menu of another items (editors already have context menu - theese items may be added after separator, and for items that currently have no context menu there may be added context menu with just two theese items) - theese items are not needed every time and will be available from context menu if needed.

2. Optionally hide first item with filename (if only one file is being opened by F4Menu) so only list of editors will be shown. Or maybe three choices: show always (as now), show if multiple files opened or hide always.

3. Optionally execute internal TC association by first item with filename instead of system association (or maybe with some modifier like Shift) - but this may be hard since internal TC associations need to be scanned.

Hi Shanny, thanks for F4Menu, I always like to use it.

I'm testing 2010-08-22 v0.25 beta2 and found an issue.
www.shanny.com.cn/f4menu/ says:
F4 (Double press) - Open files with default editor directly

But when I double press F4 what I get here is 1) the menu is shown, 2) then I press ESC to cancel the menu, 3) then F4Menu launches the default editor. Is this intended behavior, or a bug?

If it's intended, then I think it is confusing in comparison to what happens when pressing F4 once followed by ESC: the menu is cancelled and no editor runs, as it should be.

I second MVV's request. I'm a big user of internal file associations, forum thread

thanks for your report.
1. To move 'Settings' and 'About' items from main menu to context menu of another items...
Some users may never click right mouse button on menu...
2. Optionally hide first item with filename (if only one file is being opened by F4Menu) so only list of editors will be shown. Or maybe three choices: show always (as now), show if multiple files opened or hide always.
Hide always is not a good idea, since it cannot handle multiple files.
And the filename item let user able to open it with associated program, I think it's useful:)
3. Optionally execute internal TC association by first item with filename instead of system association (or maybe with some modifier like Shift) - but this may be hard since internal TC associations need to be scanned.
Good idea, but it's a little difficult for me

double F4 only works when F4 is assigned as hotkey to background mode, seems it's not clear in webpage.

That's a good idea, however, after reading your tutorial, I'm afraid I cannot finish this feature, it's too difficult...

Actually I have no idea about your issue, is older version F4Menu works normally? such as 0.20rc4, you can get it from www.shanny.com.cn/download/F4Menu_v0.20rc4.zip
