synEd is bisy with company and some stuff (e.g. Wookiepedia page about syned). Syn2 is simpler to find, synWrite is like Write.

There is some kind of internet design company here: http://www.syntab.com/
But maybe possible to use it as name for a free editor? "+" not important.

SynWrite not used as far as I see.

Ok, to get not into any trouble with SynTab maybe better to use SynWrite. It sounds better and better as more as I think about it.
The word "write" is easy to understand for people who doesn't know Syn. So the name shows everyone that SynWrite is a type of text editor.

For fonts consideration I recommend to take a look on Coding Horror pages, i.e.:
http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/2004/12/progamming-fonts.html

You may find few nice ideas there.

Alextp,
SynTex?
Why do you want to change the name?
