Which version of UPX? My UPX 3.03w works fine, without warnings.
Perhaps your version of UPX is for DOS.
Maybe your PC is infected...

:) Hi !

• Because the internal checksum, one must NOT attempt to compress the EXE.
- Only the Author's version (link in the above mentioned file) is correct.

Furthermore the EXE is signed with our digital certificate. Packing the EXE makes that signature invalid. Therefore you need to get the packed EXE from our site as described in the file SIZE!.TXT as Clo wrote.

why do you still use the outdated UPX 1.24?

using a new version compresses a lot better.... size is about 100kb smaller.

I'm not sure why anyone uses UPX at all anymore. The file is still expanded fully in memory, thus the advantage is soley a lesser footprint on the disk. While it's disadvantages are well known: a UPX'd binary cannot share memory space: any required DLLs are loaded multiple times for each instance of the program; thus you will use MORE memory running multiple instances of a UPX'd program than if it wasn't compressed.

The UPX-packed TC can be run from floppy disks (e.g. on older PCs) and may start more quickly over slow networks (VPN). I'm still using UPX 1.24 because in my tests there were less problems with virus scanners.
