Please try to turn off the multi-step uploads. This is only needed if there isn't a permanent HTTP connection. With most modern servers, a permanent connection is kept.

I'm having a problem with the Sharepoint Drafts folder and Total Commander. When you checkout a document from Sharepoint, you are given an option to save the file in a Sharepoint Drafts folder. I am unable to see the Sharepoint Drafts folder in Total Commander. I have the configuration set to show all files but this folder seems to elude Total Commander. Does anyone have a solution?

Which OS did you use? Here in Windows 7 x86 it's in %UserProfile%\documents\Sharepoint-Drafts\
The folder is hidden, you have to enable it in TotalCommander 1st.

I tried to use "Ctrl-Q" and double-click for the files in Webdav - no success.

Is it impossible by design?

It's not possible with Microsoft's WebDAV implementation, but it works both with my WebDAV plugin. You can find it here:

After installing it, there will be a new subfolder "WebDAV" in the Network Neighborhood.

The problem is that I do not know the server address to - I have only the Webaddress, and the admins don't like TC.

Sorry, I don't understand - what do you mean with "Web address"? if you mean the URL, that's all you need in TC too...

The WebDAV plugin for TC is designed for Microsoft IIS, but I am not able to use it with MOSS (Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007). Any suggestions what settings to use in WebDAV? I am using TC 7.56a 32bit 16.12.2010 with WebDAV plugin v2.1 under Windows 7.

TC is using the connection settings from Internet Explorer - if you can access the sharepoint server from that (or the Explorer's WebDAV client), then it should work with TC too. Apparently you have a problem with access rights.

Thanks for the hint! I got more access rights from IT, and now I am able to use the WebDAV plugin for TC with MOSS (Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007) when I select the Microsoft IIS (plain, not secure) pre-canned settings in WebDAV.

To update a document on the sharepoint server I need to (1) check it out (using the Explorer's WebDAV client), (2) over-write it using TC, then (3) check it in (using the Explorer's WebDAV client). Is there an easy way to update documents - using TC WebDAV plugin only (w/o Explorer's check in/out)?

Are you sure? At the moment I can not test it, but I think that the "copy" command from standard-Panel to the WebDav-Panel should do the job.
Or not?

I can add an option for checking out files, but I need to know what command is sent to the WebDAV server to do that. Could you try to find out the command with a tool like WireShark, please? It can monitor the commands sent by Explorer to the server.

When I try to copy that in TC address bar and I paste it but TC doesn't react. I know about network drive mapping, and I did that, but when I do that, some operations, like a simple one document rename are not possible and it says "Please remove the write protection." However, the whole library content is there, visible in TC and copying (which is in this case actually uploading) is possible. When I try to rename it in the Explorer view, I have no problems.
