Bad interface borders when using Medium size fonts

Post by *jesped »

This is what my TC looks like using Medium font size in Windows 7 x64 SP1.

As you can see borders are bad, any idea how to fix it?

Try changing the Config | Font | Dialog Box Font
to 8 or 9 pt.
And add OverrideDPI=120 to the wincmd.ini
*BLINK* TC9 Added WM_COPYDATA and WM_USER queries for scripting.

In which section of the ini should I put the OverrideDPI=120?

jesped,
Set custom text size (DPI) - Use Windows XP style DPI scaling.

jesped,
Have you logged out and back in? And verified that the checkbox next to "Use Windows XP style DPI scaling" is still present?

Yep. Even reboot doesn't make a difference.

This looks indeed very strange, do you use any third party theme instead of the normal Windows 7 theme?

Mmmmm it happens even with the standard 100% scaling.

Hello, Jesus.
jesped wrote:Normal windows 7 theme.
Hm, which feature / option of the standard Windows 7 theme creates the 4 drive letter buttons plus the 3 little buttons displaying * \ and * inside the title bar of every application window and of every dialogue box?
Could there not be some tweak at work which brings about the side effect that the borders of the Total Commander window are not drawn properly?

Kind regards,
Karl

It is xfilesdialog ( xfilesdialog.com ) and yes, this software was causing the problem. Good catch! ;-)

I am gonna write them to fix this problem.

Thanks and best from Galicia.
