File locked while copying

Hi.

I use a off site samba server through VPN, and copy files from it through Teracopy. The only reason I am doing this is because I get access to the file while it is being copied. That means I can use it to "cache" a video file , and as long as I copy faster than the total length of the video file, I can start to watch it.

I am looking into using Total Commander (64bit) instead, but the files are locked for reading while it's being copied. Is there a hidden setting to allow reading? Or if not , could there be?

Try turning off the default copy method in Configuration - Options - Copy/Delete.
