Tab context menu "Refresh Tab"

Post by *TychoBarfy »

Hi there all,

believe me, I searched for it in the TC "Suggestions", nothing found.

I 'd like to have a context menu entry in any tab - locked or not - which enables me to "Refresh" the content of the directory, which was so important to me, that I created this tab.

At this moment I have no way to do that without going through at least (sorry, I'm late now and did newer count) a minimum of one additional HD/IO, calling another tab and going back to my "preferred tab". No other way...

I want to have my tab - call it "Bla" - be easily refreshed via the context menu. Right clicking it and calling "Refresh".

Am I the only one?

Why not just use the Key F2

Doesn't work as I want. It only refreshes the directory, I have opened in the tab, but doesn't set the tab to go to the folder, which was defined for this tab.

I.e. the tab was set to folder E:\Bla. I can go to anywhere inside this tab, so I change directory to f:\Music. Now my wish is to go back to e:\Bla again inside the tab with one keyboard shortcut or via a click inside the tabs context menu.

Tycho,

In Context menu of tab, set it to 'Locked, but directory changes allowed'. This way the tab is persisent. You can browse wherever you want in this tab, and you can always use ctrl \ to return to the originally set dir.

Note: if you activate another tab on the same panel and return to the locked tab, it will automatically refresh to the original dir.
