Can't unlink linked tabs

Post by *akujbida »

Hello,
When I use the hotlist to change directory, the tab changes to the newly selected directory (as desired), and the foreground tab in the other panel changes to the previous directory of the tab in which I used hotlist (very undesirable) . Effectively crippling TC to the point I can't use it, very frustrating. Never happened before in many years of use.

Closing tabs, opening tabs, restarting TC, restarting my pc all no avail. No options or toolbar buttons seem to be related to this. No mention I can find in the documentation or forums.

I suspect I've accidentally used a keyboard shortcut for causing panels to be tied together in this weird and unpleasant way.

Anyone know how to undo this tying?

TC 7.55 Windows XP.

Regards,
Aleksander

Probably, when you stored the directory into hotlist, you ticked the option "Also save the target dir", so TC now sets the target dir too. Open the configuration of the directory menu, select the problematic item and clear the "Target path" field.
