[TC8b10 x64] Unlock grapic from SVN file won't work

Post by *Efpek »

Windows 7 x64
TC8b10 x64

SVN have specific coloured signs on each state of file
If file is changed - red colour
If not changed and locked (needs lock attribute) - green colour
If unlocked - grey colour

In TC8.0b10 this gray colour won't work. Instead - I have green coloured when file is unlocked (should have gray) Rest of colours are fine. In x86 version of TC it is ok.

Which SVN version do you have? 32-bit or 64-bit one? You must have 64-bit SVN for 64-bit TC and Windows Explorer.

Does Windows Explorer show theese overlay icons right?

Do you have same wincmd.ini for TCx32 and TCx64? If not, check option 'Configuration/Display/Icons/Show overlay icons'.

If you have 64-bit Tortoise installed, Windows Explorer must show overlay SVN icons too (Tortoise installs shell extension). TC uses same shell extension (TCx64 uses shell extension from 64-bit Tortoise).

Sounds like you have only the 32-bit version of Tortoise installed. You need to install also the 64-bit version.

I have both SVN version - x64 too. All this mess starts when installed 64bit TC. Before - all worked fine for 2 years.

I try to rename tortoise registry entries with a_ prefix to sort alphabetically (find in internet this solve) and it helps only to visible overlays in explorer.

Read only overlay icon still missing.

Could you please consider a (Lister or whatever) plugin improvement which let plugin authors display their own icon overlay or custom icon?

Lefteous, sounds good. But I think such plugin should be able to add context menu items too (internal or generic).

Minute ago I commit some files and after that press F2 just like previously and... i see grey overlay icon!!!

Meanwhile I do not install any soft and not changing anything. Strange. From my side - topic to close. Can not confirm bug from TC 8b10 side.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
