Auto update

I believe it is about time in the online era we live in that TC should implement an auto update feature.

We could have a menu option under Help to 'Check for Updates' and we could also have ini switches to force auto updates or confirm beforehand.

This can be also further enhanced with a very useful configuration option I have seen over a few applications to specify if updating will also consider monitoring beta releases for those updates or purely official releases.

This will save us from a lot of hustle and most importantly we could easily acknowledge when an update is ready and available.

It's up to Chris whether to do inline update, or just launch the webpage/download page if pressed OK. I opt for the second option.

Afterall, i guess (maybe) most dual-pane file manager users are power users, .ini files don't scare them, so they want to have power over their choice of installation. Otherwise one would settle for Explorer.exe

Auto-update (partially) is not bad, either. Say, just the main .EXE, .CHM and HISTORY.TXT is all changed so just update that. But I'm against that kind of updating (I like to retain original timestamps, and keeps full installer archives)

hi I would also like to request auto update feature. At the least a notification that pops up if there is an update that takes you to a download page. Ideally a auto update mechanism like filezilla has would be best. Where it downloads the exe directly and runs the setup.

But also ability to disable the auto part of the update and have an option to manually check for updates. This way everyone can remain happy and keep up to date
