[8.0ß13-x64] Lister % (percent): not from keyboard

Post by *Ralph »

When using Lister from 8.0ß13-x64, I can use the mouse but not the keyboard to open the dialog, "Go to position (in %)."
When using Lister from 8.0ß13-x32, I can use the mouse or the keyboard to open the percent dialog, as usual.
I am using Windows 7, 64-bit.

Thanks

Cannot confirm. I tried Alt+Shift+5, and pressing+releasing Alt, Left, Enter — both methods worked fine in TC x64.

I cannot confirm it with the Swiss German keyboard: % is here on the '5' key, so I need to press Alt+Shift+5 to activate the % menu item. This works fine in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

Could you give me more details what keyboard layout you use, on which key the % is located, and how you open it in the 32-bit version?

The problem was my mistake.

In the 32-bit version, I opened the Lister position dialog by pressing Shift+5. I had not tried Alt+Shift+5 until now; it works in both the 64-bit and 32-bit versions. I still would like to be able to use Shift+5, in order to minimize typing.
I almost always use the keyboard, so I should have realized the need for Alt. The % is on the right side of the Lister window, so I didn't think of it as being part of the menu. Anyway, now I understand.
Pressing and releasing Alt, Left, Left, Enter also works in both the 64-bit and 32-bit versions.

On my computer, the % symbol is on the 5 key.
Keyboard: "standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard with HP QLB." The keyboard is designed for users in the USA.

Thanks

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
