Resizing TC with thumbnails changes current visible file
Not sure if a bug or already reported.
1. Change to thumbnail view in a directory with many files
2. Single click one file to make it the file under cursor
3. Maximize/resize the TC window -> File under cursor is no longer visible if number of the thumbnail columns changes
This happens here in TC8PB10 for x86 on WinXP. You simply can compare with Explorer where file under cursor always remains visible when Explorer window size changes.

TC plugins: Autodesk 3ds Max / Inventor / Revit Preview, FileInDir, ImageMetaData (JPG Comment/EXIF/IPTC/XMP), MATLAB MAT-file Viewer, Mover, SetFolderDate, Solid Edge Preview, Zip2Zero and more
It always happens if number of thumbnail columns changes, no matter if it increases or decreases. I even observed that the active file under cursor changes if window width is increased and decreased again.

NOT confirmed. I tried it on Windows XP and 7, both 32-bit and 64-bit, and the focus always remained on the same file when changing the window size. I resized it by
- dragging the lower right corner
- clicked on "maximize" button in upper right
- maximized by double clicking on the title bar

NOT confirmed, the cursor always stays on the same file! It ay scroll out of the screen, but the focus doesn't go to a different file.It always happens if number of thumbnail columns changes, no matter if it increases or decreases.

Maybe it depends on INI settings. I will check later.

Christian,
Roman
As I understood it the bug report is about the current file scrolling off screen, not about the cursor jumping to another file.the cursor always stays on the same file! It ay scroll out of the screen, but the focus doesn't go to a different file.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
Yes, the primary bug report was about the current file getting out of view. I guess the changing cursor is a side effect that won't occur once the out-of-view bug is fixed.
I checked with a clean ini (just changed cursor color to red and made sure that all thumbnails are already loaded). In the video you can see how current file under cursor gets out of view and cursor changes from Scanimage30.jpg to Scanimage40.jpg and to Scanimage53.jpg just by changing the TC window width, i.e. by increasing from 3 thumbnail columns to 4 and decrasing back again.

This is actually not a bug, it also happens in full view when TC is maximized and the cursor stands on a file at the bottom (or even outside of the visual area). Restoring the normal size then only keeps the position of the top visual item. The same is done in thumbs view.As I understood it the bug report is about the current file scrolling off screen
Sorry, I cannot reproduce that.cursor changes from Scanimage30.jpg to Scanimage40.jpg

Windows Explorer behaves different. Whenever the Explorer window is resized and the number of thumnail column changes the file under cursor gets visible. This is actually not a bug, it also happens in full view when TC is maximized and the cursor stands on a file at the bottom (or even outside of the visual area). Please watch in the video that position of vertical scrollbar moves down when resizing TC window width.Sorry, I cannot reproduce that.

I can confirm that the cursor changes to another file when resizing the window so much that the highlighted file gets out of view, and then is sized back.
Note: I can only reproduce the bug with the 32bit version - not with the 64bit version!
Example:
1. Start with a clean ini file.
2. Open a folder with at least 15 images.
3. Switch to thumbnail mode and adjust the window size so that no more than 4 rows and 4 columns of thumbnails are visible.
4. place the cursor on image no. 14 (bottom second last)
5. Adjust the window width so that only 3 columns are visible and image no. 14 is no longer visible.
6. Adjust the width so that 4 columns are again visible - now the cursor is on image no. 11!

OK, I think I found a solution for the 32-bit version now, please test it (beta 14)!

Not fixed: I still can reproduce the cursor change with TC8PB14 (x86). Even with the fresh wincmd.ini.

You are right - after trying a little more I can still reproduce it. - using the same recipe as http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=237526#237526
One just has to be very carefull when adjusting the lover edge so that it is exactly so far below the bottom row of files, that the panel doesn't autoscroll when you place the cursor on image no. 14. If it gets too far down one might have to reduce the width of the panel to only show 2 columns to make the selection invisble, which is has to be, to make the cursor move to another file, when expanding the panel again
