cannot make noclose work
Hi, my environment is win7 64b, TC 7.56. I installed it and then made it 'portable' by copying (dont remember anymore). So this is not a normal installation with installer.
If i shift-return in a cmd file, the window closes immediately. I found a noclose.pif from the installer and copied to c:\windows, the window still closes immediately.
I tried with Noclose Replacer 1.2 and same thing...
is there something obvious I am missing?
thanks!

Indeed, support for CMD files was added in TC 8.0β7.

BTW, is there any thread where TB8 is reviewed? What new features, how stable it is, plugin compatibility...
I would like to upgrade if I can keep my many plugins and customizations but first I would like to read some feedback from other users. I have seen the tc8 bugs forum but not a thread about a general review of it...
that's encouraging..maybe I'll do that over the weekend. What is the best thing in TC8?MVV wrote:jmwap, you may use TC8 with your configuration, all should work fine. Beta #16 was released today, it is enough stable to use it.
Also, i'm on win7 64b, I think there is now 32b and 64b versions of TC? Which one would be better (remember I have a somewhat complex install, plugins, customizations etc)
thanks!

You can find and read the announcements like the today's one and see what the most important changes are. Generally, 32-bit version should work fine. There may be some incompatibilities if a plugin uses undocumented methods of working with TC, but there should not be many.
If you wish to try the 64-bit version, you'll need to update all the plugins to 64-bit version too; 32-bit plugins will not work at all. Also some external tools (like old AHK scripts) might fail because of changed window classes, you'll need to check them individually.
